Here is the program for the academic year 2026\u201327.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-d6e04fa3-7279-4323-b667-7ed772101049\">First semester:<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-299f6be3-502c-4452-ac78-15b17e93c84f\">Students must choose <strong>two <\/strong>out of the following three<strong>core courses<\/strong> (<strong>9 ECTS<\/strong> each):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-2e37f15f-298f-4ca7-9374-3fef30ef0c43\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/uf-mi.u-bordeaux.fr\/algant\/index.php\/cours\/geometry-25-26\/\">Geometry<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/uf-mi.u-bordeaux.fr\/algant\/index.php\/algebraic-geometry-2026-27\/\">Algebraic Geometry<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/uf-mi.u-bordeaux.fr\/algant\/index.php\/number-theory-2026-27\/\">Number Theory<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-05e43033-3026-4c01-a5a9-590cf52c11db\">In addition, <strong>two courses <\/strong>(<strong>6 ECTS<\/strong> each) must be taken from the following list:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-2c35eb83-0591-4c76-88a0-434600d159fc\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Advanced course 1:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/uf-mi.u-bordeaux.fr\/algant\/index.php\/elliptic-curves-2026-27\/\">Elliptic curves<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/uf-mi.u-bordeaux.fr\/algant\/index.php\/courses\/algorithmic-number-theory\/\">Algorithmic Number Theory<\/a>\u00a0(shared with M2 CSI)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/uf-mi.u-bordeaux.fr\/algant\/index.php\/cours\/post-quantum-cryptography\/\">Post-quantum cryptography<\/a>\u00a0(shared with M2 CSI)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/uf-mi.u-bordeaux.fr\/algant\/index.php\/cours\/harmonic-analysis-operator-theory-and-control\/\">Advanced course in analysis<\/a> (TBC, shared with M2 AEDPP)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-10f98409-c88b-416a-b779-7d8c0beeb0b9\">Every student must also choose <strong>one<\/strong> of the following programs (<strong>6 ECTS<\/strong>):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-c1446d73-45a9-4681-ba0e-875731cee377\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/uf-mi.u-bordeaux.fr\/algant\/index.php\/introduction-to-research\/\">Introduction to research<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/uf-mi.u-bordeaux.fr\/mas\/graduate-program-numerics\/\">Numerics program<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-6ac384a8-3cdd-471d-926b-f24f7992df23\">Second semester:<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-f5bce33d-faf9-4583-af4c-d09ec9c0807f\">Students must choose <strong>one course (6 ECTS)<\/strong> from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-76be6935-dfa6-4202-933d-746ab7a3b2e8\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Advanced course 2:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uf-mi.u-bordeaux.fr\/algant\/index.php\/drinfeld-modules\/\">Drinfeld modules<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advanced course 3:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/uf-mi.u-bordeaux.fr\/algant\/index.php\/reductive-groups\/\">Reductive algebraic groups<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-c3bf3f4a-7c4f-461d-936f-bd02d5710540\">Students are expected to complete their <strong>Master\u2019s thesis<\/strong> during the second semester (<strong>18 ECTS<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All courses are taught in English.
