Some of them may change from one year to the next, especially the <em>Advanced Courses<\/em>. Here is the program for the academic year 2025\u201326.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The first meeting will take place on Tuesday <strong>2 September 2025 at 9:00 AM<\/strong> in <strong>Salle 1 of IMB<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the first week of September, we are organising <a href=\"https:\/\/uf-mi.u-bordeaux.fr\/algant\/index.php\/cours\/refresher-courses\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"236\">refresher courses<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>The schedule of all courses and exercise sessions can be found&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/celcat.u-bordeaux.fr\/Calendar\/cal?vt=month&amp;dt=2025-09-02&amp;et=group&amp;eid=-390114417:-898552971:4:1267413:2&amp;fid0=4TGT901S\"><strong>here.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">First semester:<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>Students must choose <strong>two <\/strong>out of the following three<strong> core courses<\/strong> (<strong>9 ECTS<\/strong> each):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/uf-mi.u-bordeaux.fr\/algant\/index.php\/cours\/geometry-25-26\/\">Geometry<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/uf-mi.u-bordeaux.fr\/algant\/index.php\/cours\/algebraic-geometry-24-25\/\">Algebraic Geometry<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/uf-mi.u-bordeaux.fr\/algant\/index.php\/number-theory-2025-26\/\">Number Theory<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, <strong>two courses <\/strong>(<strong>6 ECTS<\/strong> each) must be taken from the following list:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Advanced course 1:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/uf-mi.u-bordeaux.fr\/algant\/index.php\/equidistribution-and-l-functions\/\">Equidistribution and L-functions<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/uf-mi.u-bordeaux.fr\/algant\/index.php\/courses\/algorithmic-number-theory\/\">Algorithmic Number Theory<\/a>&nbsp;(CSI)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/uf-mi.u-bordeaux.fr\/algant\/index.php\/cours\/post-quantum-cryptography\/\">Post-quantum cryptography<\/a>&nbsp;(CSI)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/uf-mi.u-bordeaux.fr\/algant\/index.php\/cours\/harmonic-analysis-operator-theory-and-control\/\">Advanced course in analysis<\/a> (AEDPP)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(NEW!)<\/strong> Every student must also choose <strong>one<\/strong> of the following programs (<strong>6 ECTS<\/strong>):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/uf-mi.u-bordeaux.fr\/algant\/index.php\/introduction-to-research\/\">Introduction to research<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/uf-mi.u-bordeaux.fr\/mas\/graduate-program-numerics\/\">Numerics program<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Second semester:<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>Students must choose <strong>one course (6 ECTS)<\/strong> from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Advanced course 2:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/uf-mi.u-bordeaux.fr\/algant\/index.php\/class-field-theory\/\">Class field theory<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advanced course 3:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/uf-mi.u-bordeaux.fr\/algant\/index.php\/kahler-geometry\/\">K\u00e4hler geometry<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Students are expected to complete their <strong>Master\u2019s thesis<\/strong> during the second semester (<strong>18 ECTS<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All courses are taught in English.
